Countries and restrictions

Where you can get a Magic Pay card, where it works, and where we can’t serve you.

Magic Pay is available to residents of most countries. The exceptions are set by international compliance rules, and we apply them strictly.

Where you can get a card

You can open an account and get a card if you are 18 or over, complete verification, and are not a resident of one of the jurisdictions below.

We do not serve residents of

  • Jurisdictions subject to a FATF call for action: the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Iran and Myanmar.
  • Jurisdictions under increased FATF monitoring (list as of 19 June 2026): Angola, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti, Iraq, Kenya, Kuwait, Lao PDR, Lebanon, Monaco, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, South Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Vietnam, Virgin Islands (UK) and Yemen.
  • Sanctioned territories: Crimea; the Donetsk and Luhansk regions; the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions (in the parts subject to sanctions restrictions); and Cuba.
  • Other restrictions of the issuing partner: the Russian Federation.
The FATF lists are updated several times a year. When they change, we update this page and the Restricted Countries and Territories document. If your country is added to a list after you’ve opened an account, we’ll notify you in the app.

Where the card works

Wherever the card scheme is accepted: more than 200 countries and territories, online and in person. It won’t work in sanctioned territories where the card scheme doesn’t operate, or in blocked merchant categories (see Fees and limits).

Physical card delivery

You can collect the physical card free of charge at the Magic Pay office in Dubai or order delivery to another country (the fee depends on the country and is shown in the app when you order). Delivery takes 7–14 days, and the card is handed to you in person. Ask support for the office address. The app will tell you if delivery to your address isn’t possible.

Issuing partner restrictions

Our licensed issuing partner may apply its own country restrictions, for example on where a card can be issued or delivered. Any such restriction is shown in the app before you order.
